Bands in the Park 18th September 2022

2023

An amazing year is planned for the band!

We will be taking part in the Australian National Band Championships which will be held in Newcastle over Easter April 7th to April 10th. This will be a great event bringing community brass and concert bands from all over Australia and overseas to compete right here in Newcastle. Our band will be playing on the afternoon of Saturday 8th April at City Hall: don’t miss us!

During the year we will also be playing at many of our ‘regular’ events. These will include Anzac Day at Allambee Park Valentine, Bands in the Park Speer Point on 21st May and the East Coast Championships on 11th June.

Stay tuned…

Dreamtime to Modern..

Our next event will be held at Rathmines Theatre on Sunday 23rd October at 2pm. It’s one not to be missed!

In partnership with the Gabinya Miyay Aboriginal Dance Group, we will be presenting an afternoon celebrating Australia’s culture and rich soundscapes.

Attend a smoking ceremony, experience indigenous dance performances and listen to original compositions and modern favourites.

Tickets for the concert are free and are available at eventbrite: click the link below.
