What a great afternoon at Rathmines Theatre on June 12th. Both the band and the audience enjoyed it immensely: and yes, there were 3 encores!

The band’s next appearance will be at The Dobell Festival on Saturday 12th June at 2pm in the Rathmines Theatre. We are delighted to be part of the festival which is named for well known and local artist Sir William Dobell:
‘The Lake Macquarie Dobell Festival is an annual month long celebration of what is the essence of Sir William Dobell – passion, innovation, fringe, experimentation and creative excellent.’ – Lake Macquarie City Council.

Our first indoor concert in some time was a resounding success. Both bands performed admirably and many audience members congratulated us on our performances. In the words of one, ‘what a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!’

On Sunday 23rd May at 2pm we will be presenting a concert in conjunction with the Newcastle PCYC Brass Band. After a year of no indoor concerts it will be great to be back at Adamstown Uniting Church for a relaxing afternoon of music.
The band is pleased to be able to support our local Rotary Clubs at their charity event to be held on Saturday 1st May. A fun day for all: market stalls, rides, and lots of entertainment.
Be there early to see us: we start playing at 9am.

Band members are looking forward to 2021 with lots of concerts being planned. We’d like to encourage anyone who plays a Concert Band instrument to come along and try us out!
With an agreement with Valentine Public School in place, the band has recommenced rehearsal at 7pm on Wednesday nights at the school.
A Covid-19 Safefy Plan has also been put in place.
